Introduction Lesson

Duration: 1.5 hours — Call (239) 592-1033 for pricing.
This hands-on, evaluation lesson is given to determine the skill level of riders new to BHEC. New riders will receive a BHEC T-shirt. This lesson is a combination of an evaluation lesson and hands-on "how to" lesson. Riders will learn the fundamentals of horsemanship, handling, bitting and tack. Ladies must wear leggings or stretch pants, long hair pulled back in a low pony tail, fitted shirt and no dangling jewelry. Men are to wear fitted dungarees and a shirt, no loose fitting attire. Helmets and boots will be provided for the first introduction lesson.
Ages: 7- Adult
Package of 8: New students sign up for a package of 8 and 50% of your Introduction Lesson will be credited back towards your package price.
Semesters: New students sign up for a semester and 100% of your Introduction Lesson will be credited back towards your semester price.
 

Mini-Introduction Lesson

Mandatory for new students 6 and under, this lesson includes the Hands-on 101 program plus a 20-minute private riding evaluation lesson.
Ages: 6 & Under
Package of 8: New students sign up for a package of 8 and 50% of your Mini-Introduction Lesson will be credited back towards your package price.
Semesters: New students sign up for a semester and 100% of your Mini-Introduction Lesson will be credited back towards your semester price.
 

Evaluation Lesson

Duration: 30 minutes — Call (239) 592-1033 for pricing.
A one-on-one lesson with the instructor. For prior BHEC riders who have been on a leave of absence for three months or longer.
Requirements: Must know how to tack up.
Ages: 7- Adult
 

Hands-On 101

Duration: 30 minutes — Call (239) 592-1033 for pricing.
A how-to, step-by-step introduction to horsemanship. Students learn the basics of handling and approaching horses, brushing, bitting and tacking up.
Ages: All ages
 

Pee Wee Lesson

Duration: 15 minutes — Call (239) 592-1033 for pricing.
A private beginner lesson for our youngest equestrians. Consideration of each child's maturity level is given.
Ages: 2 - 4
 

Junior Lesson

Duration: 20 minutes — Call (239) 592-1033 for pricing.
A private lesson for slightly older children. Consideration of each child's maturity level is given.
Ages: 5 - 7
 

Private Lesson

Duration: 30 minutes & 1 hour lessons available — Call (239) 592-1033 for pricing.
A one-on-one lesson with an instructor. Private lessons focus on the student's area of interest and prepare him or her for showing. The lesson regime and goals are determined by the trainer.
Ages: All
 

Semi-Private Lesson

Duration: 30 minutes & 1 hour lessons available — Call (239) 592-1033 for pricing.
For two riders of equal ability.
Requirements: No beginners. Riders must be able to walk, trot and canter.
Ages: All
 

Group Lesson

Duration: 45 minutes to 1 hour — Call (239) 592-1033 for pricing.
A lesson for 3 or more riders.
Requirements: No beginners. Riders must be able to walk, trot, canter and know diagonals and leads.

Driving Lesson

Duration: 30 minutes — Call (239) 592-1033 for pricing.
A one-on-one lesson with the instructor.
Requirements: Open to all ages and levels of horse experience, Monday through Friday before 2:30 p.m. only.
